Kia Ora and welcome to my page! I created my business after becoming disillusioned with the current medical establishment and largely in response to New Zealand's medical authorities not recognising my prior training.
I am different than other lifestyle coaches, in that I have been taught the pathophysiology behind it all, I understand the current treatment courses that are prescribed by GPs, have had years experience practicing medicine, and yet, also have had the experience of being a patient, and having lifestyle medicine change the course of my health.
Lifestyle medicine is for those who are interested in treating the root cause of disease, instead of symptoms (high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, inflammatory disorders, and many cancers) or for those who are wanting to avoid those things because they might be genetically at risk. In lifestyle medicine, the treatment is in behavior change, instead of medications. It's well known now that diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease can be reversed with lifestyle changes.
The tenets of lifestyle medicine are all within your control. In this insane world of 2025, isn't it worth being empowered? The decisions you make every day in what you consume are the best way to control how your body functions...and whether disease is present or not.
I'm not here to sell you potions, powders, pills, or an 8 wk challenge. I'm here to empower you with the information and a path to health and wellness that works for you, 4life.
I believe laughter is medicine. I believe movement is medicine. I believe music is medicine, and that medicine is an art. I believe healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and that medicine is largely based in educating patients...I don't have magic hands, I have information, and I want to share that information with those who are interested!

I began working with Kea, after knowing her as a highly competent and trusted primary care provider, during her time in the Seattle, WA area. I had always respected her approach to health and wellness, and as a personal trainer, she has even shared functional workouts with me that really aligned with my goals. So, when she transitioned into lifestyle medicine, it was a natural choice for my husband to reach out to her for help managing his blood sugar levels. He was pre-diabetic and wanted to get ahead of it- and Kea was the first person we thought to call.
What stands out most about Kea is that she genuinely walks her talk. She's a great listener and brings a grounded, whole-person approach to her work. With her guidance, both my husband and I have shifted significantly away from animal proteins and toward a more plant-based diet- something we'd been curious about, but hadn't felt confident navigating on our own.
Her diverse background in medicine, fitness, and nutrition creates a unique experience that you don't often find. She understood the type of physical training I was doing and offered thoughtful, practical support that met me where I was. Her support helped us not only change our habits, but also shifted our mindset around food and health in a more sustainable way.
